Urban Decay - Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette Review

I know i've been gone for what seems like forever, but i'm really sorry. My second year at university got the better of me! Deadlines were coming thick and fast and I became unorganised, which meant blogging stopped. But i'm back now!

So I celebrated my 22nd birthday last week on May 12th and I ended up being made to purchase the new Urban Decay Palette. This new palette is inspired from the Alice Through The Looking Glass movie. Now I love Urban Decay eyeshadows, mainly the Naked palettes, so purchasing this new one was just an obvious decision for me.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Guess who is back! So these last few weeks, i've been so busy, i've been working practically full time and also having deadlines from college. But through all that it was my birthday last week, yes i'm getting old now i'm 20. I've been looking at buying this cleanser but i've just never gotten around too it, I was happily trudging along with my baby wipes and Soap and Glory cleanser, that was till I was bought this.

I received a double pack of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, this pack came with two 100ml bottles and also two muslin clothes. It instructs you to use one or two pumps and apply to a dry face, I can normally use one pump but if I have a heavy eye make up I may use two just to be safe. It then says to run the muslin cloth under hot water and massage off the cleanser then to splash the face with cold water. I'm not going to lie, I've never been one to use a cleanser religiously due to it being so much effort to take my eye make up off first with a different product and then use another one for my face but this cleanser is amazing. It is so easy and quick to use, I was shocked. 

Even though I've only been using this for a week, I have noticed the difference. My skin is a hell of a lot smoother, it's not dehydrated any more and I haven't been getting any breakouts, not even hormonal ones! I don't know if that's just a lucky streak so we'll soon see. I also saw a different when I stopped using, I went away for the weekend to Leeds to see Gorgon City and I forgot to pack it with me and my skin wasn't feeling as soft and smooth as it had been doing. So this is definitely going to be on my repurchasing list after I have used these two up.

I'm looking for a moisturiser at the moment to compliment this cleanser, so if anyone can give me any recommendations that would be great!

Nails Inc St James' Square vs Rimmel London Too Cool To Tango

As I was rummaging through my nail polish drawer (yes they have a drawer, a very large one at that), I come across this Rimmel London beauty in Too Cool To Tango that I had only used once or twice, after painting my toe nails with it, I went to find a colour for my nails and come across one of my favourite ever Nails Inc colours in St James' Square. I realised that these are pretty much the exact same colour and that I need to stop purchasing nail polish or at least check what colours I have once in a while.

Seeing as I go on my holibobs in around 2 months and I have no spending money, this has put meant i've put myself on a spending ban (which isn't going too well). Making this colour dupe discovery means that I'll no longer have to splash out £11 for my Nails Inc polish but only £3.69 for this Rimmel London polish.

I do apologise for the state of my nails, (had to have my acrylics taken off due to the spending ban, wahhh ) but here is the comparison of the 2 different nail polishes. From my pinky finger to my middle finger is the Rimmel London then my index finger and thumb are Nails Inc. As you can see St James' Square is slightly darker than Too Cool To Tango, but it is only noticeable if you really look and mention it to someone. I prefer the brush on Too Cool To Tango because it's quite dense and covers my entire nail in one stroke whereas St James' Square is a thinner brush, but I do prefer the consistansy of the Nails Inc nail varnishes, I've found that they don't become as thick as fast as other nail varnishes and the lighter colours don't streak as much.

All in all, i'm gonna continue to use my Rimmer London nail varnish so that if it runs out I can actually repurchase it without getting shouted at by my bank or my besties.

Benefit Total Moisture Moisturiser.

When I received my order from Debenhams (Mother has expensive taste, that is where I get it from) I realised I had been given a sample of a moisturiser, that being Total Moisture Facial Cream. (This offer is still available on the Debenhams website, if you purchase one Benefit product then you receive a skincare sample but if you purchase two then you will also receive a sample of BADgal Lash.)

At first I was slightly apprehensive about trying out the product due to my normal skin type being combination/oily, but over the winter months and because I have been using the sunbeds more than usual, I have found that my nose has started to become dry and my forehead has started to become more dehydrated, so I decided to give this a try. For the past few days I have been using this cream as a night time cream, personally I feel it is slightly too concentrated and thick for a day time moisturiser, unless it was in the winter. Even after just a few days I can already see the difference in the skin on my nose. I have seen the skin on my nose look smoother and not as flaky around the sides, I have also noticed that my make up has been staying on my nose a lot better than usual.

Due to the cream being  so concentrated and thick, I thought I would need more to cover my face but a little really does go a long way with this product. This is the first Benefit skincare product I have used and I'm really impressed, the product can also be purchased on the Benefit website.

Are there any other Benefit skincare products, you would recommend?

Nails Inc Top Ten Collection

If any of you follow me on Instagram (which you can do here) you will notice that I love getting my nails done and also nail varnish in general. I regularly get acrylic nails due to the fact that my nails don't grow well and I am still a bitter, I'm getting better at stopping the bitting! PROMISE! Even though I do go to get my nails proffesionally painted, I always take my own nail polish because I do own quite a few. 

My weakness is Nails Inc nail polish, the consistency, life length and colour range is extraordinary. Also the glitter and special effects nail polishes are the best ones I have ever used, they have amazing coverage compared to the usual glitter nail polishes. I recently counted the amount of Nails Inc polishes that I own and I very quickly reached the 50 mark, it was even closer to the 60 mark, I can't help myself guys. So obviously I need more, so I purchased this set from QVC.com, this set is the Top Ten Collection and the main reason I bought this collection was for the colour Baker Street, which is the bright cobalt blue. I still haven't found a colour that even lives up to this cobalt one.

This collection is packaged absolutly beautifully. I received my order in this silver glitter box that screams my name, my hoarding side comes out when I see boxes like this. This collection includes these colours (from left to right) Baker Street, Queen Victoria Street, The Boltons, Crown Court, Porchester Square, Chelsea Passage, South Kensington, The Thames, Chelsea Square and Bruton Street.

Is there any other Nails Inc colours I should purchase or any other nails varnish brands that you think I would enjoy?

Hair Care.

So this photo is of my hair this morning, around 5 years ago I had my hair cut in a bob, around the same height as my chin, then around a year and half away I bleached my dark brown hair to white blonde and continued this for around a year. These next few products have been a life savoir through out my brown to blonde to brown stages. Also I last had my hair cut about 3 months before I dyed my hair blonde.

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo / Conditioner - This shampoo and conditioner combo is one of the best ones I've used in a while. The miracle moist range really does what it says on the tin, when I was blonde, the combination of the bleach and blonde shampoo dried my hair out till it was like straw and this really did bring it back to it's full moisture. Also as with all Aussie products the smell is to die for.

Aussie Miracle Recharge "Volume" Conditioning Spray - This product is a new one to appear on the market from the Aussie range, the leave in conditioning spray is available in different types depends on the look your after, whether you want volume or shine. My hair is naturally thick and I have a lot of hair aswell, but the blonde stage made it slightly thinner. To add volume to my hair using this, I like to dry my hair slightly then spray a liberal amount throughout my hair then brush it through, I will then add some more after my hair is dry.

VO5 Miracle Concentrate Argan Oil - Finding this product was complete luck and i'm glad it happened, it leaves my hair so silky, soft and shiny but not in way that it looks greasy. After being a firm favourite of Moroccan Oil, I found the VO5 product in Superdrug after I had run out of my Moroccan Oil and didn't have time to run to my hairdressers to buy more. After I have used my Aussie conditioning spray on my wet hair I run this argan oil through the end half of my hair and then slightly more when I finish styling my hair.

Has anyone else ever used these products or has any recommendations?

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub.

I got this lovely scrub bought for me by my cousin at christmas and it has been lying with my Lush product collection, just waiting to be loved until now. I love to scrub my entire body at least twice a week (depending on if I have the time), If I could i'd scrub my body every day. Usually I will use the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Scrub (the smell of the sugar crush products is like love) but I thought I would try this one out for a change.

The pale blue scrub has a quite smooth grit, which I really like, I hate scrubs that are really abrasive. What I like about this scrub is that when the product is being used on the skin it lathers up aswell as exfoliates the skin, whereas the sugar crush scrub just exfoliates. The one thing I don't like about this scrub, is the smell, but that is obviously personal preference (and because I love the sugar crush scent.) I also wish it was a bigger tub.

Anyone have any other favourite scrubs or lush products?

Mally Beauty Volumising Mascara

Trying out new mascaras is something I do every few months, due to the fact that I can never find one that I actually like to use or that actually makes my eyelashes look like I want them too. I saw this american product on qvc and decided that I would give it ago. Mally Beauty is only available in the UK on the shopping channel/website, QVC, after hearing about how she developed the product I wanted to try it out. I've been using this volumising mascara since November now and i'm still loving every second of it.

The wand is a normal fiber brush, meaning that it's the actual product and formula that makes it so amazing! I also love the packaging of this mascara, I love the silver fade against the black. The normal Mally Beauty mascara is just a plain cream packaging. The price of this mascara is more on the high end than a high street budget but it is well worth the price.
