I know i've been gone for what seems like forever, but i'm really sorry. My second year at university got the better of me! Deadlines were coming thick and fast and I became unorganised, which meant blogging stopped. But i'm back now!
So I celebrated my 22nd birthday last week on May 12th and I ended up being made to purchase the new Urban Decay Palette. This new palette is inspired from the Alice Through The Looking Glass movie. Now I love Urban Decay eyeshadows, mainly the Naked palettes, so purchasing this new one was just an obvious decision for me.
I managed to bag my palette from my local Debenhams counter for £43, however I did buy a hell of a lot more products while I was there, sorry Bank Account of Paige. It can also be purchased online from Urban Decay and other stockists.
Now I first want to talk about the packaging. The entire box is fun and bright but overall very gimmicky.
I love the small mirror and all the quotes, but I feel a lot of space is being used for unnecessary items. For example, the huge butterfly that has no use at all. It's very pretty and looks amazing but I just don't get why it's there.
The actual eyeshadows are in a drawer compartment underneath, which does have another Alice in Wonderland quote.
On to the colours. All I can say is, how beautiful they look in the palette and how fun the looks would be that could be created from them. However, I was so disappointed when I started to use it. The eyeshadows have low pigment and colour pay off is not great. I was genuinely thinking they would be like Urban Decay's other eyeshadows but they really aren't.
Overall, if you love Alice in Wonderland, it is a great collectors item. If you want amazing pigments then this isn't for you. Unless i'm using it completely wrong then please let me know if you can get an amazing pigment. Also if you want to be able to travel with this, it becomes a huge no due to the size.
