The top 5 things that 2017 has already taught me

I'm alive, I promise! I have no excuses really other than i've been really lazy with my blog.... but i've proper missed it! As it's now February in 2017, I wanted to just share what the past month and a half has helped me.

By writing this list, I want it to help everyone out there, not only myself. At some point this year or in the next few years; these 5 little rants will most likely help. So here we go:

1) If people don't like you, so what?
Please, please, please remember this! If people don't like what you're doing with you life, how you act, if your too truthful... so what? As long as you're happy and not hurting anyone, why should you bother trying to please someone else? There is always gonna be someone who doesn't like something you do and feels the need to tell you or other people. So ignore them! You may get upset at first, you may not, but at the end you'll realise that they are the sort of people you might not want around you anyway. And also, if you have other friends that want to hang out with them or be friends with them, let them. True colours will always be shown in the end.

2) If you wanna treat yourself, do it!!
Now.... i've been treating myself for a while now... in more ways than one. If you want a cheat day, have one. If you want a cheat week, have one. Or if you're like me, if you want a cheat month and a half, do it! hahah!! Well, in moderation. I have this new mindset. I'll eat healthy and normal, nothing extreme. But if I want some chocolate, I'll have it, or if I want a takeaway, i'll have it.

This is also the same for my slight shopping habit, if I see something and I really want it. I'm gonna get it. If it stays in the bag and I don't think about it after, then it can be returned because I obviously didn't want it as much as I actually though. *Reverse back to 2 weeks ago where I thought spending £200 in Topshop was a small treat... ooppps.*

3) Don't take anyone for granted!
This really speaks for itself... Don't take anyone for grated. Be grateful for your family, friends and even girls on Instagram that you don't know but always like your Instagram images and are lowkey lifting you up.

4) Stressing won't help stress in anyway.
Please believe me when I say this one, because at this moment i'm stressing about stressing about stress. **eyeroll** I feel like being in my last year of university is one of the hardest things ever. I have proposals, research, group projects, notes to write up and a dissertation to do. I'm then working part-time, trying to find a graduate job and working out what and where i'm going to live when I have to move out of my student house.

But my top tip is: TAKE A BREAK. This week i've legit taken the week off of doing any work, you know why? Because I need a week to just empty my head. So on Monday morning, I can have a clear head and just push on with this final stretch.

5) Do more of what you love.
This is another one that it pretty self explanatory. But everyone needs a small reminder at some point.  If you love to do something, do it! If you love writing, do it. If it's in the shape of a blog, writing short stories or even poetry. At the moment, i'm loving colours and photography. So my Instagram is getting a lot of love.

I've also always wanted to open my own clothing boutique, so i'm trying to look into that opportunity in my detail

So there we go, I seriously hope this short blog post, helps not only myself but at least one person to make their life more positive.
